Pam Lloyd, Ph.D.
Vice President, GCI Healthcare and Education

Pam provides the strategic management and product development roadmap for GCI Healthcare. The main inspiration for Pam’s work is advocating for broadband access to underserved communities, where she has contributed much of her time and expertise to a variety of state and national organizations. Now a widely respected strategist and visionary in her field, she has earned the trust and respect of many other leaders in Alaska and nationwide.  

Joe Furrer
Director, GCI Healthcare

In his position, Joe brings a variety of health care administration experience to GCI Healthcare. His 30 years of experience includes working in health IT, resource management, and patient services. Joe’s career has focused on improving the quality and delivery of healthcare through innovative use of information technology. Prior to joining GCI, Joe was the Project Manager for the state-wide health information exchange project at Alaska e-Health Network.

Robert Taylor
Director, GCI Healthcare Business Administration

Robert is responsible for helping GCI Healthcare provide telecommunication services for rural Alaska customers.  Prior to GCI, he was VP of Unicom and UUI’s IT Manager where he was responsible for Internet, cellular, and data services, and was also responsible for helping implement the DeltaNet terrestrial network to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. Robert was born and raised in Alaska and has over 16 years of experience in providing telecommunication services to rural Alaska.

Sandy Kukla
Senior Manager, Clinical Informatics & Telehealth

Sandy has more than 30 years of experience in various healthcare disciplines, including: hospital and emergency room nursing, practice administration, Director of Hospital Business Services, application implementation and training, IT financial and clinical application analysis, medical financial consulting, and clinical analytics. Sandy is a board member of the Telehealth Alliance of Oregon, Washington Technology Exchange Advisory Board, and a member of ATA, MGMA, HFMA, AHIMA, HCCA, and is a certified EMT. Sandy is very active in chronic care initiatives, patient safety initiatives, and the advancement and implementation of telemedicine applications.

Kim Lamb
Healthcare Innovation Manager

Kim is responsible for the day-to-day account leadership for GCI customers in the Pacific Northwest. She is also tasked with identifying market needs to expand service offerings in the healthcare vertical throughout the region. Kim brings more than 18 years of start-up and non-profit leadership experience and a background in healthcare reform initiatives to GCI.


Jon Larson
Healthcare Account Manager

Jon leads the sales cycle for GCI Healthcare customer from start to finish. He is responsible for assessing the needs of the large, urban healthcare organizations in Alaska to identify areas of improvement and offer solutions that leverage the GCI Healthcare suite of services.

Jason Tomberlin
Manager, Sales Engineering

In his key role as technical advisor for the GCI Healthcare team, Jason spends his time resolving complex technical issues for customers and explaining telecommunications technology to CIO’s and IT personnel. His extensive experience with network design and administration have also made him the team’s go-to person for healthcare organizations looking for strategic advice on network planning.

Paloma Field
Sales Engineer

Paloma is responsible for providing quality pre-sales technical support to GCI Healthcare customers including assessing their voice, video, data, Internet and application requirements. She works with customers on the technical aspects of their service including distance education, videoconferencing and more. Paloma is also tasked with resolving technical issues and works closely with the technical services team to ensure timely and consistent service delivery and support.
