Training and Education
We can help bring world-class medical continuing education and professional growth training directly to your location. That saves you the time and cost of traveling for off-site training
In partnership with Virginia Mason Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Seattle, both accredited hospitals in Seattle, GCI Healthcare offers physicians, nurses, and staff access to a wide range of education and training opportunities. Delivered via video teleconference, GCI Healthcare members throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska can securely access this valuable resource through the ConnectMD Medical Network. Courses are available live via video, or archived formats. Virginia Mason has an active schedule of CME and CNE courses that are designed to improve patient care by providing medical professionals with the latest in demonstrations and lectures.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Physicians on the ConnectMD Medical Network can access practical, up-to-date CME courses and lectures designed to maintain or improve their practice of medicine. Interactive course design via video conference allows the opportunity for questions, discussion, and interchange with Virginia Mason and Children’s faculty.
Virginia Mason is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide CME for physicians. In 2010, Virginia Mason received its second Accreditation with Commendation from the ACCME.
Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
GCI Healthcare gives registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals access interactive educational activities that enhance knowledge, increase skills, and promote positive patient-care outcomes. Contact hour credit is awarded upon successful completion of the educational activity.
Virginia Mason is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Washington State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s commission on Accreditation.
